TOOTSIE ROLL
ANNUAL REPORT

Tootsie Roll 2015 Annual Report inspired by vintage Americana paired with modern design. The design goal was to appeal to potential investor’s nostalgic childhood but also show that Tootsie can stay relevant after 100+ years.

INSPIRATION
& DESIGN PROCESS

The Tootsie Roll Company owns several popular candy brands such as Dots, Charms Blow Pops, Sugar Babies, etc. The company began its course in the late 1800’s and gained popularity during the Depression Era and with soldiers due to its economical price and the Tootsie Roll’s ability to withstand different environmental pressures without melting or going bad. The company is an essential part of Americana, filing children’s Halloween baskets and bellies through the good and bad times. Going off of this piece of history, I wanted to style the annual report in a vintage feel with bright candy pastels as colors and with illustrations. The photography is bright and includes most of the candy company’s brands. I wanted to use the Tootsie’s brand color of brown as an accent color rather than the main focus not only for aesthetic purpose but to also focus on candy as a whole, rather than focus on just the Tootsie Roll/Pop.
